Why I Am Writing Again

Most people don't begin their careers imagining they'll build companies, lead teams, or help others navigate the highs and lows of growth and reinvention. I certainly didn't. My journey looks more like a long, winding road filled with opportunities, challenges, grit, mistakes, and grace.
For nearly four decades I've built things.
Some succeeded far beyond what I imagined.
Some cost me more than I expected.
All of them taught me something worth passing on.
I've spent my life creating software companies, serving customers, leading people, raising a family, and trying (imperfectly) to become the man God has called me to be. Along the way I've learned the value of persistence, humility, faith, humor, and forgiveness. Especially when the road bends in ways you don't expect.
This journal exists for one simple purpose:
To share the thoughts, stories, and lessons that have shaped me, hoping they might help shape or encourage you.
I'm not writing to preach.
I'm not writing to impress.
I'm writing to share what I've learned.
If you're building something of your own…
If you're leading a team…
If you're navigating a hard season…
If you're starting over…
If you simply need someone who understands the road you're walking…
I hope you'll find something here that meets you where you are.
In these posts you'll find stories of wins and losses, things I got right, things I wish I could redo, and lessons that showed up years later than I needed them. You'll also find reflections on leadership, faith, family, creativity, business, and the joy and grief of a life lived at full speed.
If even one post encourages you, helps you avoid a mistake, or reminds you that you're not alone, then this will have been worth writing.
Thank you for being here.
I'm glad to share the road ahead with you.
